Lindberg/MPH ships electrically heated pit furnace to power industry
HOMOCARB® pit furnace.
Lindberg/MPH has shipped an electrically heated HOMOCARB® pit furnace to a manufacturer in the power industry. The furnace is designed with a maximum operating temperature of 1,750 degrees F and gross workload of 1,600 lbs. Temperature uniformity of +/- 25 degrees F at 1,650 degrees F was documented with a nine-point profile test.
The furnace can accommodate a work basket with a 25 in. dia. that is 48 in. deep. A retort minimizes atmosphere consumption and furnace conditioning time between loads. The cover lid uses an electrically operated boom lift for load/unload. An upper furnace fence guard provides added safety.
