Kaast Machine Tools has introduced the HPA light-tonnage workshop straightening press. It comes in 30- to 150-ton press power for repair and assembly jobs, including the straightening of beams, shafts, axles, and profiles. It also can be used to remove and replace bearings, pins, and bushings and to run load tests on materials and weld joints.

The press’s H-frame is steel welded, and table height is adjustable. Operation is by joystick control. Two V-blocks are included with each machine to assist with straightening and positioning material.

With a working space of 30 to 62 in., the press can be sized to fit the space requirements of most shop floors. Optional accessories include a foot pedal or two-hand operation, NC, and a movable cylinder.
