TRUMPF Inc. offers the TruBend Series 5000, which comes equipped with an on-demand servo drive with four-cylinder drive technology. The servo drive operates quietly and consumes energy only during the bending process.

The machine features two angle measuring systems. Automatically controlled bending (ACB) takes measurements through sensors integrated into the upper tool. It is suitable for bending short sides and reflective surfaces and for multipoint measurement. The second system, the ACB Laser, measures the bending angle through a contactless optical process, making it compatible with any tooling. It is useful for processing acute and open angles, as well as thick sheet metal.

The bending process is facilitated by the Touchpoint TruBend control. This interface features 3D visualization and a multitouch screen that responds to the operator’s touch even when work gloves are worn.
