Kaast has introduced the Lasersonic B for sheet metal fiber laser cutting. Producing 1,000 to 12,000 W of laser power, it offers a maximum acceleration of 1 g and a maximum speed of 5,500 IPM. Positioning accuracy of the X/Y axis is ±0.0004 in./12 in., and X/Y axis worktable repeatability is 0.0007 in.

Offering cutting capacities from 10 by 5 ft. to 12 by 6 ft., the honeycomb welded structure of the machine incorporates a gantry double-drive control system, large inertia servomotor, and high-precision gear and rack. Cypcut software measures real-time frequency and power curves, and laser power is adjusted automatically according to the speed of movement of the cutting head.
