AWS Foundation announces Light a Spark Grant recipients
The American Welding Society (AWS) Foundation, Miami, in partnership with Appleton, Wis.-based Miller Electric Mfg. LLC, has announced the recipients of the inaugural Light a Spark Grant:
- Blairsville-Saltsburg School District (Pa.)
- Easton Valley High School (Iowa)
- James Hillhouse High School (Conn.)
- Regional Apprenticeship Pathways (Wash.)
- Republic-Michigamme School (Mich.)
- Swanville High School (Minn.)
- Union Mine High School (Calif.)
- Waltrip High School (Texas)
These high schools will receive a turnkey Miller® welding starter pack including equipment, supplies, and personal protective equipment valued at more than $12,000, allowing them to introduce welding to their students.
