Trailing Shield 2.0 from Titech helps improve gas flow
Titech Production AS has introduced the Trailing Shield 2.0 welding enhancement tool, designed to interface with common machine or manual GTAW, GMAW, and plasma welding torches.
The tool has multiple layers of gas-diffusing mesh and a new nozzle that prevents the gas flow from becoming turbulent. It remains laminar and helps improve gas coverage in the HAZ, the company reports, preventing oxidation, weld defects, and rework.
