Wisconsin Steel and Tube adds laser technology

Milwaukee-based steel service center Wisconsin Steel and Tube continues its evolution into contract manufacturing with the addition of two Bystronic laser tube cutting systems. The machines will be available for projects starting in Q2 2021.

The ByTube 130 machine employs fiber laser technology, while the FL300 system uses large-diameter CO2 laser technology. With these machines, the company can process round tubes from 0.375 to 12 in. and square tubes from 0.6 by 0.6 in. to 10 by 10 in.
