Hexagon’s TubeShaper tube inspection software platform updated

Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division has announced an update to its TubeShaper tube design, analysis, and production platform. This v2 version offers inspection of rectangle-section tubes and new reporting functionality.

A new offline license allows production supervisors, engineers, and designers to work on projects separately from operators measuring tubes on the shop floor so that more tasks can run concurrently, saving time as well as minimizing software investment.

In addition, the software now is compatible with more bender brands, covering machines from such manufacturers as Eaton Leonard, BLM, Addition MT, and Numalliance.

The software also features springback management and in-bend measurements. The sketch function allows users to create a first tube from a few digitized hard points, while automatic report creation helps ensure that results can be shared instantaneously to any location.
