An immersive 3D printing experience at the 2022 AMUG conference

AMUG's director of conferences and education touts the additive manufacturing event

The Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) is set to kick off its annual conference April 3 in Chicago. The 5-day event will be packed from start to finish with all things AM, said AMUG's director of conferences and education, Jordan Weston.

Among the notable speakers will be two keynoters from the automotive industry: Kevin Czinger, founder of an 8-year-old company developing a revolutionary car with a claimed top speed of 280 mph, and Ellen Lee, technical leader for additive manufacturing research at Ford Motor Co.

Weston told the Additive Reporter that it's "exciting" to have two keynote speakers whose views show the diversity of thinking found in the auto industry. "They're going to have some similar but very different perspectives, based on their backgrounds. Kevin is leading a company that is looking to disrupt the way we manufacture at scale. Ellen is representing a company that's been around for a century."
