Desktop Metal’s Production System™ has been named a 2018 Gold Edison Award™ winner in the Applied Technology/3-D Printing category. It is the first metal 3-D printing system for mass production of complex metal parts that is up to 100 times faster than current laser systems, according to the Burlington, Mass.-based manufacturer.
The ballot of nominees for the awards was judged by a panel of more than 3,000 business executives including past award winners; academics; and leaders in the fields of product development, design, engineering, science, and medical.
