Director of Mayo Clinic’s 3D printing lab is scheduled to speak at AMUG conference; EOS GmbH founder to be honored

The director of the 3D Anatomic Modeling Laboratories at Mayo Clinic, Jonathan M. Morris, M.D., will be the keynote speaker at the Additive Manufacturing Users Group conference, scheduled for May 2-6 in Orlando, Fla.

The title of Morris’ May 6 presentation is “The Rise of Point of Care Manufacturing: 16 Years of Additive Manufacturing at Mayo Clinic.” He will describe the endeavors, obstacles, and benefits of integrating 3D printing technology into medical practices.

On May 5, conference attendees will have the opportunity to watch a prerecorded interview with Hans J. Langer, founder of the 3D printing company EOS GmbH and recipient of the 2020 AMUG Innovators Award. The host, AMUG industry advisor Todd Grimm, will appear live on stage. The hybrid format is due to travel restrictions related to COVID-19.
