Formetrix hires CEO, commits to new HQ in Boston area

Formetrix Inc., a designer and producer of proprietary, high-performance steel alloys for additive manufacturing, has named Scott Pearson its new CEO. The company also announced that it has committed to moving into a new headquarters in the greater Boston area in March.

“I am excited to join the Formetrix team and to lead the organization as we target the opportunities that exist in the 3D printing market today,” said Pearson. “I am also looking forward to the opening of our new, state-of-the-art facility in the coming months. The new capabilities enabled by this facility will allow our team to innovate and operate more quickly and effectively for our customers.”

Pearson has more than 25 years’ experience leading a wide range of technology-based companies and organizations. Prior to joining Formetrix, he spent six years as president and CEO of Aquion Energy.

Formetrix was spun off from NanoSteel, Providence, R.I., in August 2018.
