New book focuses on implementing AM technology

Most books about additive manufacturing focus on the technology side of the subject. Not Additive Manufacturing Change Management: Best Practices.

This new book, published by CRC Press and written by David Dietrich, Michael Kenworthy, and Elizabeth Cudney, focuses solely on a company’s managerial implementation of AM technology.

According to the authors, company managers are often unfamiliar with AM and clueless as to how to implement it. They start learning about AM from experts and quickly become overwhelmed by the highly technical information.

Additive Manufacturing Change Management examines the corporate impacts of AM technology; provides engaging, practical, and entertaining “war stories” from the front line of AM industrialization; describes in detail the significant hurdles in AM certification and implementation; offers templates for instituting best practices; and omits the technical verbiage that gets in the way of management understanding how the process is implemented.

The 160-page book features 50 illustrations and is subdivided into four sections and 17 chapters. It’s available in hardback ($191.25), paperback ($76.46), e-book ($52.16), and e-book rental ($28.98).
