UUMEP offers free metal AM training

In partnership with Utah Technical Colleges, the University of Utah Manufacturing Extension Partnership (UUMEP) Center will bring free metal additive manufacturing (AM) training to Utah.

Developed by the University of Utah Mechanical Engineering Department in collaboration with the UUMEP Center and University of Utah Professional Education, the workshops will cover the importance of this technology, available equipment types, processes, methods, challenges, and benefits and will present successful business cases associated with metal AM.

The workshops will be held at the following Utah locations:

• June 21 at Ogden-Weber Technical College, Ogden
• June 29 at USTAR, Clearfield
• July 11 at University of Utah Sandy Center, Sandy
• July 27 at Dixie Technical College, St. George
