B9Creations develops a line of customizable 3D printers

The B9 Core 5 Ascent series of 3D printers is the largest-format, customizable line B9Creations has developed. The DLP (digital light processing)-style resin printers meet the rising demand for customization in the industry, according to the Rapid City, S.D., company.

Available in five configurations, customers can choose an 8- or 12.5-in. Z-height and a 385- or 405-nm light engine. Two sizes of build envelope are available—96 by 54 by 320 mm and 124.8 by 70.2 by 210 mm—build speeds range from 15 to 85-plus mm/hr., and resolution is 10 microns in the Z-axis and 50 or 25 microns in X and Y axes.

B9Creations plans to unveil the series at the upcoming AMUG conference, which runs April 3-7.
