Builder 3D debuts a big printer with a heated chamber

- Additive Manufacturing
The 1500 HC is the latest addition to Builder 3D Printers’ Extreme line of printers.
The filament-style printer’s build chamber measures 1,100 by 500 by 820 mm and heats to a maximum temperature of 70 degrees C. Those features, combined with the extruder’s max temperature of 300 degrees C, make the unit well-suited for additively manufacturing parts from materials such as PET-G, ABS, ASA, PC, and CF15, according to the manufacturer.
The monoprint head printer comes with three nozzles: 0.4, 0.8, and 1.2 mm dia.
Printer specifications include:
• Print speeds from 80 to 200 mm/sec.
• Max travel speed of 300 mm/sec.
• Heated aluminum build plate (110 degrees C max).
• Direct-drive feeding system.
• 3-kW peak power rating.
• USB/Wi-Fi/Ethernet connectivity.
• 7-in., full-color touchscreen control.
The company currently is taking orders for the Extreme 1500 HC and expects deliveries to start in Q1 2022.
