Chicago shop offers on-demand 3D printing and more

additive manufacturing

3DPX uses selective laser sintering to 3D-print parts.

3DPX Additive Manufacturing is an on-demand partsmaker that specializes in 3D printing thermoplastic, resin, and metal parts using, respectively, SLS (selective laser sintering), SLA (stereolithography), and binder-jet printers.

Other services the Chicago company offers include product design and prototyping, CNC machining, and finishing (dyeing, tumbling, and vapor-smoothing). One of the shop’s design offerings is optimizing parts for 3D printing. This give customers nearly immediate access to parts without the upfront costs of injection molding or casting.

3DPX also is an FDA-registered and -cleared additive manufacturer.
