Markforged prepares to introduce its largest 3D printer ever

Markforged has announced it will debut the FX20 printer at the Formnext additive manufacturing show in Germany in November.

According to the Watertown, Mass., builder of metal and composite AM systems, the FX20 will be the biggest, fastest, and most sophisticated machine the company has ever produced.

Capable of printing high-temperature thermoplastics reinforced with continuous fiber, it’s intended to serve the needs of the aerospace, defense, automotive, and oil and gas industries.

The company expects to begin shipping the new model in the first half of 2022.
