Oak precision high-speed presses were designed by tool & die makers to protect expensive complex dies. Presses from 30 to 300 tons, speeds from 85 SPM to 1500 SPM . With the exception of castings, certain specialized bearings and electronics, all Oak press components are manufactured in our climate controlled facilities. Oak presses use eccentric shafts, anti-friction roller bearings and a hydraulic withdrawal system that holds the crown/slide in position at the rated tonnage, and allows separation of upper & lower die up to 12”. It also provides press overload protection. Some employ an exclusive Scotch Yoke/throw block assembly for high precision. Oak slide guide bearings are installed pre-loaded at "0” clearance assuring parallelism of slide-to-bed less than 0.0005” even under off-center loads.
