Sintermetal completes expansion in Mexico

Sintermetal S.A. de C.V. has completed a $6 million expansion of its facility in Ocoyoacac, Mexico. The expansion provides room for a new area of machines that will allow the company to expand into the market of highly complex sintered parts for the production of rotors for oil pumps and variable valve timing systems, among other applications.

In addition to the standard production processes consisting of pressing, sintering, sizing, and tumbling, the company also employs CNC turning, grinding, brush deburring, washing, and automated handling. It produces parts in iron, bronze, and steel for the automotive and appliance industries.
