Whirlpool to create 150 jobs in Oklahoma

Whirlpool Corp., a manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances, plans to add about 150 new jobs and $18.8 million in capital investment at its Tulsa, Okla., facility beginning in 2014. The project is part of the company’s plan to invest more than $1 billion in its U.S. operations.

The manufacturer plans to make a new cooking product at the facility, which currently produces freestanding ranges.
