Alcom to expand in Maine

Alcom has acquired a 30,000-sq.-ft. building next to its aluminum trailer manufacturing facility in Winslow, Maine, and has announced plans to invest $500,000 to convert it into a welding shop. The expansion is expected to create more than 150 jobs over the next three years.

Operations are expected to begin in the new building in late March. Additional renovations will continue for several months, including the addition of a powder coating system before summer.
