AIDA installs 630-ton servo press at Omex Mfg. ULC

AIDA-America, a metal stamping press manufacturer in Dayton, Ohio, has installed a 630-ton model DSF-M2 servo transfer press at Omex Mfg. ULC.

The company is using the press to stamp an automotive spindle. Since moving this production from a mechanical press to the servo press, the company says it has increased production speed by more than 20 percent, reduced the scrap rate by 1.5 percent, and increased tool life by 15 percent.
