Atlas Technologies completes press transfer system for Shiloh Industries

Atlas Technologies, Fenton, Mich., has finished the design and construction of a FLEX® 3000 Tri-Axis press transfer system for Tier 1 supplier Shiloh Industries’ facility in Dickson, Tenn. This project installation is on track to be incorporated into production in Q3 2018.

The press transfer is designed to Shiloh’s specifications to operate in coordination with its existing 1,000-ton, 220- by 84-in. PTC press. It is fully programmable with independent electric servo drives for each axis of motion: lift, clamp, and transfer. The system can transfer a maximum payload of up to 600 lbs. while operating at the appropriate corresponding press speed.
