Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, Mich., has delivered four new coil processing lines to Gill Industries, a Tier 1 and 2 auto supplier based in Grand Rapids, Mich. All the lines are equipped to process cold-rolled steels and AHSS up to 120,000 PSI yield.
Three of the lines—two installed at the Trenton, Ga., facility and one in Grand Rapids—feature a 60-in. servo roll feed, 60-in. by 20-ft. dual threading table, 30,000-lb. by 60-in. coil reel, and 4- by 60-in. straightener with 6-in. pinch rolls. These lines can process cold-rolled steel up to 0.250 in. thick and AHSS up to 0.080 in. thick, depending on material width.
The fourth line, installed in Richmond, Ky., comprises a 48-in. servo roll feed, 48-in. by 20-ft. dual threading table, 30,000-lb. by 48-in. coil reel, and 4- by 48-in. straightener with 6-in. pinch rolls. It can process cold-rolled steel up to 0.250 in. thick and AHSS up to 0.090 in. thick, depending on material width.
All the straighteners are equipped with nonmarking chrome rolls and a heavy-duty alligator peeler-dekinker station for hands-free threading and top or bottom payoff ability. All the systems have a roll speed of up to 362 FPM and straightener payoff rate of up to 80 FPM.
