Coe Press Equipment supplies two coil feed lines to Wico

Sterling Heights, Mich.-based Coe Press Equipment has delivered two new coil processing lines with integrated coil end welders to Wico Metal Products, Warren, Mich., a provider of large stampings to automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. Both lines are equipped to process high-strength steel up to 60,000-PSI yield.
The first line includes a 54-in. servo roll feed, 54-in. by 20-ft. dual threading table, 50,000-lb. by 54-in. coil reel, and 4- by 54-in. straightener with 6-in. pinch rolls. The second line includes a 72-in. servo roll feed, 72-in. by 16-ft. dual threading table, 60,000-lb. by 72-in. coil reel, and 4- by 72-in. straightener with 6-in. pinch rolls.
Both lines feature power straighteners equipped with automatic lubrication systems, nonmarking chrome rolls, and a heavy-duty alligator peeler-dekinker station for hands-free threading and top or bottom payoff ability. The 54-in. line has a roll speed up to 362 FPM and straightener payoff rate up to 80 FPM. The second line has a roll speed up to 296 FPM and straightener payoff rate up to 80 FPM. Feed accuracy on both lines is +/- 0.003 in.
