Dallas Industries delivers feed line to TransForm Automotive

Dallas Industries, a Troy, Mich.-based manufacturer of coil handling and press feeding equipment and controls for the stamping industry, has delivered a feed line to TransForm Automotive LLC, a manufacturer of powertrain components.

The fully synchronized, conventional coil feed line is rated for 30,000-lb. by 60-in.-wide aluminum at 0.35 in. thick (steel at 0.19 in. thick). It features a servomotor on both the press feed and the straightener. When the press calls for the feed motion, both the feed and the straightener advance the material in a synchronized manner. The technology nearly eliminates the typical slack loop and can save significant space, the company reports.
