Dixie Southern adds heavy-duty plate roll

Steel plate fabricator Dixie Southern has installed a new DAVI model MAV3045 plate roll at its fabrication facility in Duette, Fla., for manufacturing ASME pressure vessels, API shop fabricated tanks, rolled and welded pipes, stacks, autoclaves, bulk storage, ductwork, and process piping.

The plate roll equipment can handle different plate thicknesses, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications. It incorporates accurate plate feeding and three hydraulic motors to help ensure defect-free products and reduced downtime, the manufacturer reports.
