GNS North America appoints president/CEO, board members

GNS North America, a provider of hot-stamped press hardened steel components and assemblies to the automotive industry in Holland, Mich., has named Michael J. Alcala as president/CEO and member of the board of directors.
Since January 2020, Alcala has served as GNS North America interim president/ CEO and chief restructuring officer within Conway MacKenzie, part of Riveron, a global financial and operational restructuring firm. He is a 35-year veteran of the automotive industry.
The company also has named Steven R. Wybo and Jimin Song to its board of directors. Wybo is senior managing director and chair of the automotive practice of Conway MacKenzie, and Song is an independent business owner with several companies in Korea and the U.S.
