LVD receives press brake order from Kawasaki Heavy Industries

Belgium-based LVD Co. nv has been awarded an order from Japanese technology company Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI), a production partner for the Boeing 777X, for a custom-built, 1,000-ton Synchro-Form press brake.

The machine will be equipped with special tooling to produce large panels for the fuselages of commercial aircraft. The press brake is designed to maintain angular consistency and the required geometric profile and to enable an in-process automatic quality control when handling, positioning, and bending large parts with multiple bends.
