Marion Manufacturing marks 75th anniversary

Progressive die stamper Marion Manufacturing Co., Cheshire, Conn., is celebrating its 75th anniversary. The company was founded in 1946 by Fred W. Cramer and his son, Fred R. Cramer, in the basement and garage of their home as a producer of clock hands for IBM. Today, with 25 employees, it serves customers in the medical, automotive, aerospace, and telecommunication sectors worldwide.

Marion was led by members of the Cramer family for nearly 70 years. Current President Douglas Johnson purchased the company in 2015 after serving for five years as vice president of operations.
