Trans-Matic celebrates 50th anniversary

Deep-draw metal stamping company Trans-Matic marked its 50th year in business with an employee and community celebration at its headquarters in Holland, Mich.

The company, founded in 1968 by Pat Thompson with two production machines, now has facilities in Mesa, Ariz.; Monterrey, Mexico; and Suzhou, China. Led by Thompson’s son P.J. Thompson, president/COO, the manufacturer uses high-speed transfer presses from 5 to 600 tons in capacity to produce deep-drawn stamped metal parts up to 0.180 in. thick and 8 in. deep.

The company can accommodate complex geometries and configurations without secondary processes and specializes in progressive die stampings, prototype development, tool design, NDT, value-added assembly, and advanced product development.
