Hexagon AB acquires sole ownership of Licom Systems GmbH

U.K.-based Hexagon AB, a provider of information technologies, has acquired sole ownership of Licom Systems GmbH, a German distributor of Alphacam CAM software. The company operates within the Hexagon Mfg. Intelligence division as part of Vero Software, maker of Alphacam and several other production software systems.

Licom Systems GmbH was founded as a joint venture in 1996 with the aim of developing and marketing manufacturing support software. In 2011 the company holding shared ownership of the business became part of Vero Software, which was subsequently acquired by Hexagon in 2014. Licom’s 11 employees continue to support the Alphacam product within a new business unit of Vero Software serving Germany and other German-speaking regions of Europe.
