Buehler to present surface coating webinar July 29

Lake Bluff, Ill.-based Buehler, an ITW company and manufacturer of instruments, consumables, and accessories for materialography, metallography, hardness testing, and materials analysis, will host the webinar "Navigating the Metallographic Challenges of Surface Coatings" on July 29.

With a focus on thermal spray coatings, physical vapor deposited coatings, coatings made from electrochemical processes, and organic coatings, the webinar will suggest ways to achieve good-quality, efficient preparation; accurate measurement; and correct evaluation. It is suitable for metallurgical technicians, engineers, quality control personnel, and laboratory managers in metallography facilities preparing multilayered materials.

Attendees will learn to recognize common problems during metallographic preparation, identify improvement opportunities in their current methodology, and optimize their metallographic preparation routines for time while ensuring optimal surface finish for each stage of preparation.
