Metal powder group elects officers

John F. Sweet

Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) has elected John F. Sweet, PMT, president/CEO of Minneapolis-based FMS Corp., as its 29th president for a two-year term.

Three of the federation's six associations also have elected new presidents. Dax Whitehouse of NetShape Technologies in Floyds Knobs, Ind., has been elected president of the Powder Metallurgy Parts Association. Dean Howard, PMT, North American Höganäs, Hollsopple, Pa., has been elected to serve a second term as president of the Metal Powder Producers Association. Thomas Houck, Carpenter Technology, Bridgeville, Pa., also will serve a second term as president of the Metal Injection Molding Association.
