Wheelabrator Plus names service manager

Wheelabrator, LaGrange, Ga., a provider of surface preparation and finishing products, has named Allen Austin as service manager for Wheelabrator Plus, the after-sales division of Wheelabrator Group. The division provides services, replacement parts, training, and equipment upgrades.
Allen works with inside and outside sales and provides support for the Equipment Modernization Program (EMP). Previously he introduced and managed the company's Parallel Parts Program, which offers replacement parts for non-Wheelabrator equipment. He joined the company in February.
Allen served as global product manager for the electronics division of Tyco Intl. Ltd.; as program manager for the former Hughes Georgia Inc., which is now Raytheon Defense Systems; and as project engineer for Underwriters Laboratories Inc. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University.
