IPG Photonics names Serra Laser & Waterjet as LaserCube 2016 Dealer of the Year

IPG Photonics Corp., an Oxford, Mass.-based provider of high-power fiber lasers and amplifiers, has named Serra Laser & Waterjet Inc., Anaheim, Calif., as Top LaserCube Dealer for 2016.

Serra Laser leveraged its laser cutting expertise and 4-kW LaserCube to successfully market the compact machine. "Why pay double to cut smaller parts?" said Glenn Kline, president, Serra Laser & Waterjet. "We have several big lasers, but we make more for less with IPG’s LaserCube."

The flat-bed laser cutting machine is designed for cutting small parts. Using high-force linear motors built on a granite stage, it has the stability and acceleration needed for high-speed precision machining, the company reports.
