Miro boosts laser cutting capability, adds capacity

Miro Mfg., Waukesha, Wis., a provider of metal stamping, fabrication, machining, and assembly, has expanded its fabrication capabilities with the purchase of a Mitsubishi 3015eX-F80Z fiber laser outfitted with full automation. The 8,000-W machine can laser-cut carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel to 1 in. thick using oxygen and 3/8 in. thick using nitrogen.

Motion Cut, Zoom Cutting Head, and High Peak Pierce help increase cutting speeds and reduce power input, according to the company. The machine also is equipped with Mitsubishi’s SmartFlex Rapid automation.
