TRUMPF Inc. to open technology center on West Coast

Fabricating machinery and industrial laser manufacturer TRUMPF Inc., Farmington, Conn., has announced it will open a 20,000-sq.-ft. West Coast Technology Center in Costa Mesa, Calif., in early 2019. The facility will offer operator and programmer training, machine demonstrations, and technology seminars to customers in the western U.S.

Remote connectivity to the company’s Smart Factory in Hoffman Estates, Ill., will enable visitors to view machine demonstrations in real time on a variety of equipment. Customer webinars also will be held at the new facility.

A 13,000-sq.-ft. showroom will be equipped with six TRUMPF machines, and a 650-sq.-ft. training room will be dedicated to optimizing customers’ knowledge and skill set on the company’s sheet metal fabrication equipment and TruTops software. Visitors also can learn about the company’s TruServices and TruConnect systems for their manufacturing processes.
