Methods Machine Tools celebrates 60th anniversary

Methods Machine Tools Inc., Sudbury, Mass., marks 60 years in business in 2018. The machine tool supplier was founded by Clement McIver Sr. in November 1958 with three employees and a few refurbished machines. Today the company has about 350 employees, eight sales and technology centers, and more than 35,000 machines installed throughout North America, including EDMs, 5-axis CNC machining centers, robotics, automation, and 3-D printing systems.

The company now is owned by third-generation family member Scott McIver, who serves as chairman.

To commemorate this milestone, the firm will host open houses, hold technology events, and introduce new product lines throughout the year.
