NTM Inc. certified as women owned business

NTM Inc., a Minneapolis-based business specializing in the manufacturing of cutting tools, precision machining, and CNC tool grinding, recently received national certification as a women owned business by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

President Barbara (Thielen) Dorumsgaard and Vice President Cynthia (Thielen) Blue run the 42-year-old company started by their father, Bob Thielen, and uncle, Bill Thielen, in 1976. When Bob passed away in 1999, his wife, Marianne Thielen, ran the company until she retired in December 2012, when their daughters took over the company.

The 34-employee company sells its products through national distributors and plans to expand to online sales.
