Oberg Medical expands manufacturing capabilities with X-L acquisition

Oberg Industries, a full-service contract manufacturer of precision machined and stamped components located in Freeport, Pa., has acquired Niles, Ill.-based X-L Eng. Corp., a family-owned precision manufacturing business.

X-L Eng. has more than 90 skilled machinists focused primarily on the medical device and aerospace markets. The organization, now known as Oberg Medical – XL Division, offers thin-walled turning, Swiss machining, and gun drilling and gives Oberg additional resources in engineering, new product development, and prototyping.
