Caster Concepts appoints VP of sales

Albion, Mich.-based Caster Concepts Inc., a manufacturer of industrial wheels and casters, has named Doug Backinger as vice president of sales. He joined the company in 2004 as a college intern, then as a full-time engineer while completing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering and manufacturing.

For the past 10 years, Backinger has led the quality department while leading ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications for Aerol, the company’s latest acquisition. Since January 2020 he served as director of sales.
