Combilift earns second Red Dot Design Award

Combilift has won a 2020 Red Dot Design Award for its recently launched Combi-CBE4 compact, counterbalance-design, electric-powered, multidirectional forklift. This is the company’s second Red Dot Award.

The 4-ton-capacity forklift features the company’s patented independent electric traction, which provides all front and rear drive wheels with 100% traction control, therefore negating the need for differential lock on slippery surfaces. After wheel-based parameters are input, the control system calculates the traction commands. As the truck drives, the speed and rotational direction of the wheels are controlled independently, and tight turns can be negotiated with no tire wear.
