Kardex AG, the parent company of Kardex Remstar International, having acquired Kardex Systems Inc. of Marietta, Ohio, at the beginning of 2009, has now fully merged their operations together, renaming the new organization KardexRemstar Inc. The company is a provider of automated storage and retrieval systems for manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing applications.
The merger has integrated the sales and marketing groups creating a focused presence in North America under the KardexRemstar brand name.
The new KardexRemstar headquarters is located in Westbrook, Maine, with regional offices in California, North Carolina, Ohio, and Texas. Both operations have been part of the North American market for more than 35 years.
The organization's combined American production group is now located in Lewistown, Penn. More than $4 million has been invested in 2009 to assure the facility operates as a state-or-the-art manufacturing location.
