UniCarriers Americas holds 2019 supplier conference

Marengo, Ill.-based material handling equipment manufacturer UniCarriers Americas (UCA) recently held its 2019 Supplier Conference, “Partners in Progress.” The two-day event gathered more than 120 participants from 80 component suppliers.

During the conference, attendees learned about the state of the company, performance results for fiscal year 2018, and key strategies and goals for fiscal year 2019.

The company also presented five Supplier Excellence Awards to suppliers who met or exceeded overall performance requirements, participated in cost-reduction activities, and provided exceptional customer service:

1. Hodell-Natco Industries Inc., a wholesale distributor of industrial fastener and chain items
2. Misa Metal Fabricating Inc., a fabricator providing oxyfuel, plasma, laser, and band saw cutting services to forklift and heavy industrial machinery manufacturers
3. Plateplus Inc., a distributor of hot-rolled sheets and plates
4. Superior Battery Manufacturing Inc., a supplier of batteries for UCA’s class III, IV, and V forklifts
5. TYRI Americas, a manufacturer of LED, HID (Xenon), and halogen lighting
