A. M. Castle & Co. announces leadership changes
A. M. Castle & Co., Oak Brook, Ill., a global distributor of specialty metals including alloy and stainless steels, nickel alloys, aluminum, and carbon, has named President Marec Edgar as CEO. Edgar has joined the board of directors, and Mike Sheehan, formerly a director, assumes the role of chairman of the board.
Steve Scheinkman, former chairman/CEO, has announced his retirement. He remains on the board of directors and will serve occasionally as a senior adviser to management.
Edgar joined the company in 2014 as vice president and general counsel, later serving as executive vice president, general counsel, and chief administrative officer. He was promoted to president in 2018. He holds an undergraduate degree from MacMurray College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois.
