Braidy Industries to build aluminum rolling mill in Kentucky

Braidy Industries has announced plans to locate its $1.5 billion aluminum rolling mill in Ashland, Ky. The company manufactures metals for the global transportation and defense industries.

The 1.8 million-sq.-ft. facility will create hundreds of full-time labor and administrative jobs. When it opens in 2020, the mill is expected to produce up to 300,000 tons of aluminum alloy sheet and plate a year, mainly for the automotive industry. The mill already has sold out its entire production capacity for the first seven years.
