Carpenter Technology Corp. acquires LPW Technology

Philadelphia-based Carpenter Technology Corp. has acquired LPW Technology Ltd., a developer and supplier of metal powders and powder life cycle management systems to the additive manufacturing industry. LPW is based in the U.K., with additional processing operations near Pittsburgh.

Carpenter is a producer and distributor of specialty alloys, including titanium alloys, nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys, stainless steels, alloy steels, and tool steels, for the aerospace, transportation, medical, and energy markets.
