Chicago Tube and Iron names corporate director of logistics

Specialty steel service center Chicago Tube and Iron, Romeoville, Ill., has promoted Scott Langford to the position of corporate director of logistics. In this role he will work to move the company from a model in which transportation is a cost of doing business to a new approach in which logistics is deployed competitively.

Langford joined the company in 2014 after a career with several logistics firms, including Roadway Express, USF Holland, and ABF Freight. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Western Illinois University.
